Fractional CIO/CISO Stabilization Sprint

10-Day Fractional CIO/CISO Stabilization Sprint

The Stabilization Sprint is a fixed-fee, 10-business-day engagement that turns IT and security ambiguity into a 90-day plan. It is built for CEOs, COOs, and CFOs whose IT environment has outgrown informal management and who need senior leadership without a full-time hire.

Five deliverables:

Executive IT and security operating plan
Prioritized risk register
Vendor and service accountability map
Budget priorities
90-day roadmap with owners and milestones

The questions no one is answering

Most growing companies do not need a full-time CIO or CISO. They need someone to own the IT and security operating plan. Until that happens, leadership keeps asking the same questions:

What are we actually trying to protect?

What is our real risk?

What should we stop doing?

What gets funded first?

Who owns what when something breaks?

What needs to happen in the next 90 days?

What you get in 10 days

Five deliverables. One aligned leadership team.

Each is built to be defensible to the board, actionable for IT, and clear to operations.

Executive IT and security operating plan

A clear, board-ready document that aligns IT and security to business priorities.

Prioritized risk register

The risks that actually matter, ranked by business impact and likelihood, not vendor noise.

Vendor and service accountability map

Who owns what, across MSP, MSSP, internal staff, and tools. No more finger-pointing.

Budget priorities

Where the next dollar should go, and what to stop funding, with rationale leadership can defend.

90-day roadmap

The first 90 days of execution, with owners, milestones, and decision checkpoints.

How the Sprint runs

Three phases, ten business days, one executive readout.

Days 1-2

Kickoff and intake

Align on scope with leadership, gather documentation, and lock in interview windows.

Days 3-7

Discovery and interviews

Senior consultants interview leadership, IT staff, and key vendors. We map the real environment, not the org chart.

Days 8-10

Executive readout

Deliverables presented in a working session. Leadership leaves with decisions made and the next 90 days locked in.

Built for the executive who has to answer the IT question

The Sprint is right for CEOs, COOs, and CFOs at organizations whose IT and security environment has outgrown informal management, and who need practical leadership without hiring a full-time CIO or CISO.

Fast-scaling company without senior IT leadership in place

Established organization whose current MSP or MSSP has stopped keeping up

Leadership facing a board, audit, or insurance deadline

Common questions

How much does the Stabilization Sprint cost?
The Sprint is fixed-scope and fixed-fee, so the price is agreed before kickoff. There are no hourly surprises. Contact us for current pricing; it covers the full ten business days and all five deliverables.
What do we need to provide?
Leadership availability for a kickoff alignment session and interviews, plus access to your existing IT documentation, vendor list, and contracts. We do the rest: environment mapping, leadership and vendor interviews, and the executive readout.
Who delivers the Sprint?
Senior Class IV leadership, the same people who would serve as your fractional CIO or CISO. We interview your leadership, IT staff, and key vendors, then present the deliverables in a working executive readout on days 8 through 10.
What happens if we need ongoing help?
Most clients continue with fractional CIO or CISO leadership to execute the 90-day roadmap. Because the Sprint produced the plan, the risk register, and the vendor accountability map, ongoing leadership starts with full context instead of a cold discovery period.
